The Attitude of Gratitude

This morning I found out through Wayne Dyer's Facebook page that today is World Gratitude Day.  This seemed like something I should know already...however, one cannot know everything, although I'm pretty sure I'm close.  Therefore, today seemed like an ultra-appropriate day to share with you something that has only taken me three years to incorporate into my daily routine.  Lucky for you, I've totally got it now, and it is awesome. Humans are energetic beings and our energy vibrates at a certain frequency. According to quantum physics, vibrations of the same frequency attract one another. Like attracts like. This means that the only people, situations, energy etc. that can enter our lives are ones that match the vibration we are putting out. If you are having a particularly awesome day, and are feeling really good, the universe is going to continue to send you things that match that vibration.  On the flip side, if something realy annoying happens and you're having trouble shaking that vibration of annoyance, it's likely that annoying things are going to continue happening to you.  I'm sure you've all experienced this before.  It's a total bummer.

Good news though, guys!  You can change your frequency simply by changing your thoughts. For example, every time we think of something we're grateful for, it lines us up with that vibration and attracts more things to be grateful for.  The longer you can hold that vibration, the better it works, and frankly the better we feel, which really is the whole point right?  It's the same for all other 'good vibrations' like love, joy, peace, and expansiveness.

I have heard this many times from many different people, but the most recent time really hit home for me.  It was at an intuitive healing appointment with my doctor, Dr. Divi Chandna.  Yes, my GP is also a medical intuitive.  I love her. My first appointment with her was about a year ago when I had been experiencing excessive ringing in my ear.  She gave me her medical opinion, which was that there was nothing wrong with my ears as far as she could see.  Then she asked me if I had been talking to my angels more than usual.  The fact that I talk to angels is not something I talk about with everyone, until now apparently, and especially not with people deeply rooted in western medicine, for understandable reasons.  When I answered yes, she explained that I was probably just picking up on extra vibrational information and that it should disappear soon.  I wanted to hug her.

Anyway, I digress.  At my most recent appointment with her, she told me that I needed a vibrational upgrade.  She gave me an assignment which I have now made into a daily habit, and it has made such an enormous difference in my life that I wanted to share it with you, right here on World Gratitude Day.  Every morning when I wake up, I find a thought, real or imagined, that makes me feel one of those good vibrations. My family's summer cabin on Thormanby Island is a no brainer for me.  I plant myself on the deck and hang out for a bit. I try not to leave the house in the morning until I feel like I have embodied the vibration I'm aiming for.  Throughout the day, whenever I feel like my vibration has lowered, I come back to that thought or a new one that then takes me back up.  It's that simple.  With practice, it gets easier and soon your whole life will reflect those good vibrations back to you.  It's a beautiful thing.  Happy World Gratitude Day, everyone.
